Founder and President

KEO Foundation

Adama is founder and president of the KEO Foundation. His responsibilities include shaping the strategic direction of the foundation and leading strategy execution.

Non-KEO Foundation Related

Adama's career background is in investment management. He is the founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Kah Capital Management (KCM), an alternative investment management firm based in the Washington, DC area focused on housing finance. Prior to KCM, he held senior positions in capital markets on both the buyside and sellside on Wall Street, with resposibilities that include the management of very large multi-billion dollar investment portfolios.
Adama holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Finance degree both from The George Washington University (GWU). Adama was also a member of the GWU top 25 ranked NCAA Division I men's basketball teams as an undergraduate student.
Adama was born in The Gambia and came to the USA after high school to attend university. He is a dual citizen of the USA and The Gambia. He lives in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Kumba is the Chief Operating Officer of the KEO Foundation. Her responsibilities include strategy execution and day-to-day running of the operations of KEO, outreach to donors, the diaspora and other stakeholders.

Non-KEO Foundation Related
Kumba is a mother, entrepreneur/business owner in Africa, humanitarian and advocate for women issues. She is the proprietor and creative director of "Treasor, the Closet and Beyond" , a leading high end fashion store in The Gambia.

Kumba is also founder of the "Yes, We Can Read" program which focuses on young kids in The Gambia. This was started and privately funded by her family in 2009. Sponsorship has expanded to include other Gambians and non-Gambians in the diaspora as well as a share of sales proceeds from Treasor, the Closet and Beyond.

Kumba is also founder of the Treasor Women Warriors, launched in 2019 in The Gambia. The core goal of the Treasor Women Warriors is to economically and socially empower disadvantaged women in rural and urban areas in The Gambia.

Kumba holds a degree in international business and finance from the Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She was born in The Gambia and came to the USA after high school to attend university. She is a dual citizen of the USA and The Gambia.

Ibou Diallo

Chief Technology Officer

KEO Foundation

Ibou is the Chief Technology Officer of the KEO Foundation. His responsibilities include design, implementation and execution of technology solutions. He joined KEO, at its inception in August 2014. He is driven by the desire to contribute towards development and social uplifting of communities in need. Consistent with the KEO Foundations "Can Do" and dynamic guiding principles, Ibou brings his extensive technology background and entrepreneurial mindset from the financial sector and tech startup world to lead the development and implementation of an efficient technology strategy to form the foundation of the KEO web platform.

Ibou has an extensive experience in the financial sector, including the building and maintaining of real time technology solutions and platforms that support multi-billion dollar capital markets transactions on a daily basis.

Currently, Ibou is Vice President of Business Engineering & Trading Systems at Freddie Mac, one of the largest financial institutions in the world. He leads a team that develops and maintains technology solutions for the Investments and Capital Markets division of Freddie Mac; with over $400 billion in investment assets.

Outside of Freddie Mac, Ibou is the co-founder and Managing Director of Apptotype LLC, a Washington DC area based software company specializing in custom agile business application architecture, prototyping, design, and data management. Clients include a number of small companies that need flexible and scalable technology solutions to support and grow their businesses.

Ibou holds an MS in Computer Engineering from The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, an MS in Management Information Systems and a BS in Finance from Moorhead State University.

Ibou is an avid guitarist and plays with the band HR2, a reggae group that regularly performs to live crowds in the Washington, DC area. Ibou was born in Senegal and came to the USA after high school to attend university. He is a dual citizen of the USA and Senegal.

Alain Pakabomba

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Alain joined the KEO Foundation at its inception in 2014. Alain spent 20 years in the investment banking world, where he gained extensive leadership experience while maintaining a strong involvement serving in a number of local and national non-profit organizations. Alain believes that the provision of quality health services to all is vital to the prosperity of Africa. Alain brings his passion to help shape the KEO foundation's strategic direction and structure in supporting and managing its future growth. Alain holds a MS in International Management/Finance and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Alain works as a VP in Investments and Capital Markets for a Fortune 50 company.

Eyob Tesso

Chief Program Officer

Eyob is the Chief Program Development Officer. He joined the KEO Foundation at its origination in 2014. His responsibilities include program development, governance, policies and processes, and support strategy execution. With a versatile background and a passion in humanity, development and change, Eyob brings new and vibrant ideas that promotes achievable goal towards the KEO Foundation mission. Eyob is enthusiastic about bringing future growth and self sustainable development for striving nations.

Eyob has extensive professional and leadership experience in technology and Capital Markets for over 12 years. Eyob is Manager in the Single Family Credit Guarantee division of Freddie Mac. He leads technical initiatives for the Securitization team, as well as manage and model structured Mortgage Backed Security transactions. Freddie Mac is one of the largest financial institutions in the USA.

Outside of Freddie Mac, Eyob is actively involved in his local community & church by providing youth mentorship and advisory to board members on a volunteer basis. He has helped bring change and positive outcomes to the community as well as the church development.

Eyob holds a BS in Decision Science & Management Information Systems from George Mason University School of Management and an MBA in Finance from Marymount University.

Eyob was born in Ethiopia and came to the USA after completing middle school to attend High school & university. He is a dual citizen of the USA and Ethiopia.
